Designer

Ricardo Castillo

Hello! My name is Ricardo, and I am a Designer at LWI. Creativity and the arts have always been a big part of my life, and they naturally led me to study architecture in Venezuela. Later, I continued my journey in Argentina, where working with a design firm gave me the chance to dive deeper into the world of interior design. These experiences exposed me to different cultures, materials, and ways of thinking that now shape how I approach every project. Today, based in Canada, I love bringing this diverse background to my role at LWI—especially exploring materials, textures, and the stories they tell—while also drawing inspiration from the history of architecture and furniture design to create thoughtful and meaningful spaces with our team.

About Ricardo

How did you get started in interior design?
I began in the world of interior design several years ago when I worked at a hotel in Turks & Caicos. That experience allowed me to learn more about hotels and the hospitality industry.

What is your approach to balancing aesthetics and functionality in your designs?
For me, the priority is always that the project is functional and meets the client’s requirements. From there, we adapt it to the aesthetics and design approach we want to achieve, ensuring that it pleases the client and creates a positive experience for the end users.
Can you share a fun fact or hobby you enjoy?
I really enjoy photography—it’s a hobby I practice frequently, and I love capturing details through the lens
