Hello! My name is Faranak, and I am one of the designers here at LWI. I have a genuine passion for design and extensive experience in various architectural and interior design projects, focusing on sustainable solutions for the hospitality industry. I enjoy integrating energy-efficient strategies, eco-friendly materials, and smart technologies to optimize operational costs and enhance building performance. Committed to creating functional and visually appealing spaces, I collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, environmentally responsible designs that reflect client goals and sustainability principles. At LWI, I work with leading hotel chains in Canada on prestigious projects. I create detailed design documentation, conduct site assessments, and ensure that our designs align with client expectations and sustainability standards. I engage with clients and stakeholders to integrate sustainable solutions and manage material selection, ensuring our designs meet sustainability standards and operational efficiency.
About Faranak
I follow leading design blogs, industry magazines, and social media platforms. I attend expos, webinars, and workshops, and take accreditation and up-to-date courses to enhance my knowledge and awareness. Networking with other professionals and participating in design communities also helps me stay informed about emerging trends and innovations.
It’s hard to choose just one color. Coming from a background where colors are an inseparable part of design, I appreciate the vibrant hues found in colorful tiles and glasswork. However, my favorite color palette includes Mandarin Orange (Pantone 16-1459), Turquoise (Pantone 15-5519), Olive (Pantone 17-0535), Gold (Pantone 16-0836), and Venetian Red (Pantone 19-1650). I often infuse a shade from this palette into both my professional designs and my personal style, such as in my clothing choices.
What design finish or material do you love working with the most?
I love working with a variety of design finishes and materials, but if I had to choose one, it would be tiles. They offer endless possibilities for creativity and can beautifully complement vibrant color palettes. Tiles provide a versatile canvas to bring designs to life. Their elegance and durability make them perfect for projects, allowing me to create stunning and timeless designs that resonate with my clients’ visions.
