About Ashley
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
What I find most rewarding about being a designer is the ability to shape how people feel and interact within a space. For me, interior design goes far beyond arranging furniture-it’s about creating environments that enhance well-being and elevate everyday experiences. The journey from concept to completion-imagining a space, sketching ideas, and bringing them to life, is both creatively fulfilling and emotionally impactful. It’s incredibly meaningful to translate personal and spatial identity into designs that resonate on a deeper level.
How do you see the future of hospitality design evolving?
I believe the future of hospitality design is moving toward more personalized, experience-driven environments. Today’s guests seek spaces that feel both authentic and unique-whether through biophilic elements, the use of locally sourced materials, or adaptable layouts that cater to different needs. Technology will also play an increasingly integral role, from smart room controls to seamless check-in experiences that enhance convenience and comfort.
How do you find inspiration for your designs outside of work?
I find inspiration in my everyday experiences, often in the moments and environments that surround me. Nature is a constant influence, offering endless variations in texture, pattern, and colour. I’m also deeply inspired by architectural forms and details, which challenge me to think differently about structure, scale, and composition. Travel plays a big role as well; seeing how different individuals interact with space broadens my perspective and fuels new ideas. Ultimately, staying curious and observant outside of work allows me to bring fresh, layered, and meaningful creativity into my designs
