We’re thrilled to share a recently completed project we’re especially proud of: the full interior renovation of Homewood Suites in Ajax. This design was a labour of thoughtful collaboration, creative innovation, and expert execution—culminating in a space that feels equal parts refined and inviting.
As a returning client, the owners entrusted us with a significant undertaking: to breathe new life into the hotel’s guestrooms and public areas, all while maintaining high occupancy and staying true to the brand’s standards. The result? A completely reimagined guest experience anchored in comfort, elegance, and quiet luxury.
Design Intent: Timeless Elegance, Subtle Impact
Our goal was clear: to elevate the hotel experience through colour, lighting, and texture—without overwhelming or straying from the hotel’s brand identity. We worked with a palette of warm neutrals, crisp whites, and bold navy blue accents. In each guestroom, this combination comes to life through geometric wallpaper, sculptural lighting, and an elegant upholstered headboard that offers both beauty and comfort.
Public spaces feature soft upholstery, layered natural finishes, and clean architectural lines, all brought together in tones of beige, grey, and warm brown. Touches of black and deep blue offer contrast, allowing materials and lighting to take centre stage.
Navigating the Challenge
Renovating a fully operational hotel is no small feat. Our team carefully phased the project to ensure minimal disruption to guests and hotel staff, keeping operations running smoothly from start to finish. The design itself was tailored to fit within brand guidelines, while still offering a fresh and personalized take that reflects the client’s goals.
The End Result: Elevated Comfort Across Every Space
From sleek guestroom lighting and backlit bathroom mirrors to custom millwork and sculptural pendants in the lodge, every detail was considered and executed with purpose. This project is a testament to what’s possible when design, function, and brand alignment meet.
